Guide
Data Sufficiency 20 + problem solving 55 including series, coding, data analysis, dates/time/arrangements. Very broad 200-question paper with no negative marking; Communication includes vocabulary, grammar, business/computer terminology and RC.
What to learn
Use the official/researched syllabus to separate direct knowledge from reasoning. Build a compact topic checklist, practise it under the exam's real time/marking rules, and review errors by cause rather than only score.
How to practise
Start with 20–30 minutes of focused work, then a short timed block. Record correct, wrong, skipped and time sinks. Re-solve anything you got wrong before reading a full solution. The goal is to make the process repeatable in the full exam.
What usually goes wrong
Students often import CAT habits without checking whether AP ICET rewards the same pacing, question type or penalty. Use an exam-specific mock to validate the approach.
Readiness check
You are ready when accuracy and pacing survive two consecutive timed sessions, not when the topic list is merely complete.
A focused practice block for Data Sufficiency Strategy
Start with 10 minutes of direct questions or recall, then 15 minutes under the exam's real pace, and finish with 5 minutes of review. For this page, the skill you are actually trying to stabilise is: Data Sufficiency 20 + problem solving 55 including series, coding, data analysis, dates/time/arrangements.. Exploit no negative marking but preserve speed; DS rules must be automatic.
Do not write “silly mistake” after review. Use one of four labels: `did not know`, `knew but chose a slow method`, `misread/overthought`, or `ran out of time`. The most common traps here are leaving questions unattempted unnecessarily.
Readiness test: The section is ready when your timing and accuracy stay stable in two separate timed sessions. Once that happens twice, reduce isolated practice and spend more time on mixed/full-paper work.
The exam-specific reason this matters
Very broad 200-question paper with no negative marking; Communication includes vocabulary, grammar, business/computer terminology and RC. That is why the advice on this page should be tested in the AP ICET format itself, not inferred from CAT performance. Record the result in one sentence after your next timed attempt: what did you change, how many marks/questions did it affect, and will you repeat it?

Why On Your Mocks?
A mock score tells you what happened. OYM helps you understand what went wrong and what to work on next.
