SNAP 2026 Score vs Percentile

For a target percentile in SNAP 2026, use a working score band rather than a promise. Current analysis suggests Use a range because SIU does not publish an official raw-score-to-percentile table in advance.. The exact conversion can move with candidate performance, and the 2026 paper itself changed by adding a 10-question Ethics, Morality & Values section.

Guide

For a target percentile in SNAP 2026, use a working score band rather than a promise. Current analysis suggests Use a range because SIU does not publish an official raw-score-to-percentile table in advance.. The exact conversion can move with candidate performance, and the 2026 paper itself changed by adding a 10-question Ethics, Morality & Values section.

Convert the target into mistakes you can afford

SNAP has 60 questions in 60 minutes, +1 for a correct answer and −0.25 for a wrong one. A 45-mark net score can come from very different attempt profiles. For example, 48 correct and 12 wrong gives 45; 46 correct and 4 wrong gives 45. The second path uses far fewer attempts but much higher accuracy. That is why “attempt all 60” is not automatically a high-score strategy even though the paper is speed-driven.

The new 2026 section changes preparation

English is only 10 questions, LR 20, Quant/DI/DS 20 and Ethics 10. A CAT student who ignores Ethics or direct-speed verbal/LR can lose a large share of a 60-mark paper. Build a section-order plan that gets quick marks early but still leaves enough time for the two 20-question sections.

Use the three attempts intelligently

You may take SNAP up to three times and the highest score is considered; there is no normalization across attempts. The first attempt should still be treated seriously. Use later attempts to change one or two tested variables—section order, time cap on puzzles, or risk level—not to reinvent the paper every week.

Finally, translate the percentile into institute targets. SIBM Pune and SCMHRD require a very different percentile comfort zone from many other Symbiosis institutes, so the useful target is the one tied to your actual shortlist.

Use the number as a decision band

Do not let one cutoff or percentile estimate become the whole plan. Write three outcomes for SNAP 2026 Score vs Percentile: `above target`, `near target`, and `below target`. Above target means verify section/profile requirements and stop chasing extra marks for ego. Near target means protect accuracy and build a small buffer. Below target means identify the one section or question family capable of adding the next realistic block of marks.

The number is useful only if it changes your shortlist or practice. If two sources disagree, prefer the official scorecard/college notice and treat analyst estimates as ranges, not facts.
